Rumor: Photo of a Canon EF 11-24mm f/4L Lens Pops Up Online

A photo of a previously-patented ultra-wide angle zoom lens leaked online earlier today, and it has the Canon faithful all atwitter in the hopes that the leaked image is indeed the real thing and not just some hoax playing on their hopes and dreams.

The lens in question is the 11-24mm f/4L (patent from January, 2014 here) and the very realistic looking photo of it you see above leaked on kakaku.com for a short period of time before it was removed.

Thankfully, the folks at Digicame-info were able to grab the photo before it was pulled, and now we all get to salivate a bit at the possibility of some new L glass in the pipeline.
