Creative Photos of Models Lying on Chalk Drawings

Here’s a creative series of photographs by photographer Nithin Rao Kumblekar. He shot models from above as they sprawled out on the ground over intricate chalk drawings, using perspective to blend them into the scenes. The work reminds us of Jan von Holleben’s ‘Dreams of Flying’ project, except chalk is used instead of props.

Great work in the chalk medium, but I would have evened out the light so that the models weren’t casting such obvious shadows.

They are awesome! But, those shadows throw me off. Need better lighting technique. Perhaps taking a photo of the chalk alone and using a green screen to capture the model as a cutout and laying them on top as a layer. Just my opinion… Otherwise totally awesome! Keep up the good work!
