DJI's forthcoming first-person-view (FPV) racing drone has been rumored since late last year, but a recent full 10-minute unboxing video of the forthcoming drone shows it off from all angles.
Filmmaker and YouTuber Potato Jet recently teamed up with first person view (FPV) racing drone pilot Paul Nurkkala to try something kind of crazy: they strapped Potato Jet's RED cinema camera to a custom-built, high-speed octa-copter and took it for a spin... and a flip... and a few more maneuvers besides.
FPV drone pilot and YouTuber Viggo Koch recently teamed up with the folks at the Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden to film something pretty epic. Using his substantial drone racing skills, he followed the park's HELIX rollercoaster to capture some dizzying footage that holds its own against any CGI out there.
It's only four days into 2017, and already we have a contender for the most cinematic drone footage of the year. This short clip, shot by FPV drone user Gab707, would be right at home at the beginning of a Lord of the Rings movie. Frankly, it looks more like CGI than drone footage.
