ShiftCam has announced ShiftCam 2.0, a new iPhone case that supports 12 different for the iPhone. The case is a follow-up to the original ShiftCam case, which supported 6 lenses.

A few weeks back I ran some tests on the RAW files taken with the latest iPad Pro. Apple is reportedly adding a rear-facing 3D laser system to coming iPhones as part of the hardware improvements necessary for full utilization of its recently announced augmented reality development kit (ARKit). As well as depth-sensing for augmented reality application, the laser system will improve autofocus for iPhone photographers.

Apple's next top-of-the-line iPhone may cost over $1,000 -- enough to buy two entry level DSLR kits with a chunk of change to spare.
