NASA astronauts regularly share beautiful images of Earth captured from space. However, a recent batch of photos captured from an even higher orbit than the International Space Station (ISS) provides an even more astonishing view of planet Earth.
Well-known French astrophotographer and amateur astronomer Thierry Legault released this 50-second video showing an ISS solar transit he just captured. It's notable for being the first time the ISS's Canadarm2 robotic arm has been photographed during a transit.
This is the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, sitting on its cargo-carrying “trunk”. The dragon will (God willing) carry two astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) this Wednesday.
