How's this for a unique class photo? A group of university students in Switzerland recently visited the 8,114ft (2,473m) Pierre Avoi mountain in the Swiss Alps, used ropes to hang off a cliff together, and posed for a mind-bending sideways class portrait.
School portraits aren't usually the result of creative photo concepts, but photographer Krijn Westerburgen was recently able to flex his creative muscles for an elementary school class photo in the Netherlands. He photographed the students in the style of a Rembrandt painting.
School portraits don't often make the news for causing controversy, but that's exactly what the class photo above has been doing over in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. Parents of the boy seen on the right side of the frame were unhappy after receiving the photo and finding that their son had been set apart from his classmates and teacher due to the fact that he uses a wheelchair.
