Nick Brandt is a conservation photographer whose themes highlight humankind's destructive impact on animals and the natural world. The Day May Break – Chapter Two was shot in Bolivia, a country in western-central South America, over six weeks in February-March 2022.
The Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia is the world's largest salt flat, and a dream location for landscape photographers hunting for special shots. Russian photographer Daniel Kordan visited the salt flat at night and captured a set of photos showing the Milky Way being reflected by the flooded plain.
Photographer Floriane de Lassée took a playful approach to the cultural trends of individuals carrying a plethora of objects, balanced on top of their heads. Titled How Much Can You Carry, the series is a tribute to those from remote communities in Bolivia, India and Indonesia who carry immense burdens on their heads as a means to efficiently get objects from one location to another.
