Reviewer Consensus
Good
The Flashback One35 V2 provides a nostalgic, screen-free photography experience that mimics the charm of a 90s disposable camera. While it successfully encourages intentional shooting and delivers retro-styled images, its utility is hampered by unreliable software, inaccurate framing, and limited technical performance.

- PetaPixel 8/10
I had great fun with this camera, and it caught the eye of many other people who were curious about this nostalgic and novel device.

It’s important here to keep in mind that this isn’t supposed to be a technically good camera. It is supposed to be cool, retro and to transport us back to the 1980s. And it does that very well, with its grain, its odd colours and under-exposed indoor images.
-
The Flashback One35 V2 mixes the best of a 90s disposable film camera with the best tech from modern cameras. Taking photos is once again a screenless, simple experience that doesn’t pull me from the moment.
-
The Flashback One35 V2 delivers a convincingly analog look and charming film-inspired experience, but its buggy app, artificial limits, and unreliable flash limit the camera's appeal.
- CNET 7.3/10
As long as you’re not expecting more than a disposable film camera that’s secretly a non-disposable digital camera, I think you’ll get your money’s worth.
-
I’ve come to the conclusion that the Flashback ONE35 V2 is exactly what it claims to be. It’s not about technical excellence; it’s about fun, nostalgia, and documenting moments while staying present in them.
-
[R]eal analog photography with all its chemical and mechanical processes can never be completely transferred to the digital world. Nevertheless, the Flashback comes surprisingly close to the original feeling and represents an excellent, environmentally friendly alternative.
-
The camera is a talking piece, that happens to take film-like photographs while giving an authentic disposable film camera experience. It’s the perfect camera to use to capture memories and make them look old.
-
This is much improved and is now worth a sniff if you don’t fancy the rivals and it is arguably the best made of the bunch although it lags in image quality (as you’d expect).
