This Gangster Film Has a Camera Shootout

What if the gangsters in crime movies battled it out with cameras instead of guns? That’s the premise of this new 5.5-minute parody short film titled “Camera Wars.”

Created by filmmaker and vlogger Tim Pan of Mediastorm, the film is about two gangs that meet in an abandoned warehouse to do a deal for an ultra-powerful camera stabilizer. But when the deal goes south, everyone pulls out their camera and all hell breaks loose.

Want to see how this short film was created? Pan has released a 12.5-minute making-of video (it’s in Mandarin but you watch how things were shot).

And if you enjoyed this film, you’ll probably enjoy the 2011 short film “Battle At F-Stop Ridge” and its 2012 sequel.
