Quarantine Baby: Photos of a Life Born Into Social Distancing

Our daughter Kira came into the world on March 31st. Little does she know it is a much different world than the one we all came into. This is a photo story I put together document her first month on this pale blue dot in the cosmos.

Admitted to the Hospital the Morning of March 30th.

Heading to the OR after 30 hours of labor.

Our first glimpse through the window in the curtain.

After 5 days in lockdown at Cape Breton Regional we finally get to go home.

Meeting Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Karen and Uncle Jeff for the first time.

Meeting her first cousins for the first time.

Generations of Rankin’s have been rocked in this antique cradle.
