This LEGO Photo Booth Helps You Build Your Portrait with Bricks

If you’re a fan of photography and LEGO, you should pay a visit to LEGO’s flagship UK store in London if you’re ever in the area. That location has the world’s first “Mosaic Maker,” a special photo booth that turns your portrait into a one-of-a-kind LEGO kit for building your face with blocks.

After sitting for a portrait, you’ll need to pay £99 (~$121) to have that photo turned into a boxed brick mosaic kit containing 4,502 1×1 pieces. You’ll also get a photo print showing what your resulting LEGO portrait will look like once complete.

The entire process takes under 10 minutes. Here’s a video by CNET showing what it’s like to use the Mosaic Maker:

Each mosaic kit includes a 48×48 gray base, 5 different brick colors, and a brick separator tool.

The Leicester Square is the world’s first LEGO store to offer this experience, but we’re guessing it’ll be rolled out to other sites as time goes on. Back in 2010, LEGO released a similar iPhone app that turns your photo into a LEGO photo mosaic guide.
