GoPro Captures What It’s Like to Be Hunted by a Bald Eagle, Gets Taken for a Ride

Ever wonder what a small mammal sees in its last moments of life before a bald eagle (we’ll call it: ‘Murica) swoops down out of nowhere and snatches it away? We’re sure that question haunts your every waking moment, but it doesn’t have to anymore, because ‘Murica finally joined the many other animals who’ve taken a liking to GoPros they find lying around.

We’ve skipped over the first minute of feeding footage for you so the video starts just as it’s about to get good. Majestic eagles flying overhead, it seems a couple of them were vying for the GoPro but one wins out and swoops in for the kill.

This is the last thing the GoPro sees before it’s scooped up and carried over a mile away:

Fortunately, the GoPro survived. And, perhaps even more miraculously, owner Mason Colby actually managed to find it after four hours of searching through the rain.

Check out the video at the top to see what it’s like to be hunted by a symbol of freedom, and then let us know what you think in the comments down below.

Are people wrapping meat around their GoPros? I find it really strange that all of these people just happen to set down their cameras (while it’s running) and animals come flocking in and take off with them and try to eat them…

“It was a mile away in the forest”.

Why can I see rooftops and a road just as it falls from the eagle then?
