Why I Love Photography

There are many different reasons that photographers love photography. Almost always any individual photographer’s interest is a mixture of multiple aspects.

Wanted: A Panoramic Photo Calculator App for My Phone

I have in mind a program that would be of great assistance to anyone trying to do panoramic pictures. I am confident that someone who understands the math and how to create an app would make short work of it. That is certainly NOT me! Those comments inspired me to share my viewpoint here.

Why I Am Staying with APS-C

After a many year hiatus, I returned to photography as an avocation. In years past, I had been a semi-pro, using primarily Leica gear and film, of course at full frame. It did not hurt that Olympus glass was at that time some of the best coming from Japan, especially for snappy contrast.

Building a Photo-Editing Computer on the Cheap

Having returned to photography after a lay-off of some years, I had discovered a whole new world, where, among other things, computers had largely replaced darkrooms. It soon became apparent that my Windows 10 laptop was sadly underrated for the tasks required. I began to research alternatives.
