Sony has updated its Visual Story mobile application to now support video. The app was designed for wedding and event photographers but has expanded functionality to aid hybrid content creators.
Photographer Reuben Wu is best known for his pioneering outdoor light-painting projects, including lighting nighttime landscapes using LED-laden drones. Now he's back with a new series called EX STASIS that's a collection of four timelapse/motion audiovisual pieces created entirely with light-painting.
Earlier this year, filmmaker and musician Paul Wex traveled through a number of countries in Southeast Asia. Instead of using standard photos or video to document his trip, Wex decided to create an "audiovisual neurotic slow-motion experience" of the everyday things he saw. What resulted is the short film above, titled "Interrupt."
Here's a novel idea: using an audiovisual slideshow as a medium for poetry. Journalists at the Knight Digital Media Center created a project for the Oakland School for the Arts, featuring a student's poem, The Eternal Sea. Check it out here.
