A company called J.B. Camera Designs is selling a line of premium bamboo grips for a number of popular digital cameras. These accessories attach to the base of your camera and are designed to add “improved ergonomics, increased protection, and a unique look.”

The grips are available for popular cameras by Leica, Fujifilm, Sony, Olympus, and Panasonic — cameras like the Leica M240, Fuji X-T1, and Sony A7II.

Each of the grips is handcrafted out of strong and sustainable bamboo. The company chose bamboo due to its natural properties: it’s lightweight, durable, and has natural grain that provides for a better grip.

For cameras that don’t have a built-in ergonomic grip, the bamboo grip includes a solid aluminum vertical post that you can wrap your fingers around:

J.B. says that the grips become more beautiful over time as oils from your hands and dings from usage add to its look.

There are holes on the bottom of the grips that allow you to access the battery and memory card slots of your camera without having to remove the grip.

You can also attach tripods with the standard thread using the Tripod Attachment Screw.
