Creative Perspective Turns the Side of a Building Into a Stage for Dancers
If an art director approached you and said, “we want to capture two people dancing on the side of city hall,” you might think he was crazy. Then again, you might just give it a shot and wind up with something wonderful.
The video above features dancers Amelia Rudolph and Roel Seeber of Bandaloop, a group that specializes in vertical dance performances, and it was all shot with GoPro Hero3+ cameras for the Art + Soul Festival in Oakland California.
The building they’re dancing on is Oakland City Hall, and adding a bit of behind the scenes flair to the video is the fact that Rudolf was wearing a GoPro herself, so you get the occasional first person perspective paired with her commentary as she talks to both herself and her partner, joking while they float through the air in a performance that is nothing short of captivating.
