I find it interesting that there are still photographers, even young ones, that still use film. These B/W images are very arresting!

Can somebody shed some light about the equipment being used?

  • ms.woo

It’s not the equipment. It’s the photographer. :)

  • Peter Walkowiak

Its a Hasselblad… looks like a c/m model with metered prism?

  • Peter Walkowiak

I still shoot film too… Hasseys are great :)

The sadness in some of the animals eyes is touching.

You are missing the point, I didn’t imply that the camera made the picture, there is a pleasure in seeing outdated gear put to good use, some of us would have never seen this kind of camera before.

  • Beverly

Well captured images. I like the b/w good choice for the shoot.

As Humans, we outlive many of our beloved Animal friends, these brought back some warm memories. If, indeed, that is the job of a photographer…well done!

  • Es Blanchard

You succeeded brilliantly in capturing the personalities and the realities while maintaining dignity. I also appreciate your concern for the caregivers and the gift you gave them. Thank you.

Brilliantly done… Video brought tears to my eyes…

  • NDT

Its nice to know some domesticated animals escape being treated as commodities by humans. Killed, skinned, eaten and other parts used.

I recently had developed several rolls of film that were shot a few years ago. Some of the pictures had some of our elderly beagles while they were still. There’s one picture of Trucker where he was about 16 years old.

  • Mytfyn

Holy shit. This ripped my heart out.
