Knit a Pair of Photographer Mittens that Have a Shutter Finger Hole

Want a pair of mittens that don’t interfere with your love for photography? If you know how to knit, you can make your own! Norwegian knitter Bea created a nifty pair of mittens that have a hole your index finger can poke through when your camera shutter summons it. You can find the free pattern on her site if you’d like to make your own.

Or just cut a hole in existing glove

Try wiggling your finger out of that mitt without the use of your other hand (which is possibly holding your camera).

I have the mitten/gloves for colder days. They are finger-tip less gloves, but with a mitt portion I can easily pull over and on with ease (and 1 hand).

Also useful if you have a touchscreen phone.

If you knit it so the hole is in the back, and aligned with the middle finger, they’d be perfect for cab drivers.

Seems like people always forget the thumb on these types of things.  I use my right thumb to control just as much, if not more than my index finger.  I have a pair of mittens similar to this that I picked up for about $10 at Walmart that work pretty well.|/pc/104797080/c/104748480/sc/104358780/i/104000580/Cabelas-MT050-Extreme-II-Glomitts/1222750.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fclothing-mens-hunting-clothing-mens-hunting-gloves-mens-insulated-hunting-gloves%2F_%2FN-1102427%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104000580%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253BMMcat104797080%253Bcat104358780&WTz_l=SBC%3BMMcat104797080%3Bcat104358780%3Bcat104000580
