How to Photograph Yourself Levitating

Hayashi Natsumi’s levitation photos have received a lot of publicity as of late (check out her blog here), prompting Kai over at DigitalRev to create this short video tutorial teaching the technique. Could be a fun weekend project if you’re looking for something to shoot.

Since the camera is on a tripod already why not take a snapshot then set the timer stand/lay/plank on a stool or something and merge the photos editing out the stool?

That would take out the fun of it.

I think its funny how he explains that he was inspired by yowayowa like its the first person who ever did it. Should have been ‘its a photographers epidemic’ because everyone tries it at least once. This is one way to do it which is taking a million jumping shots and having to chose on thats the least derpy. But the other way would be of course propping yourself up with chairs and ladders and photoshopping out the prop thats holding you up, which eliminates the moving clothes and derpy ass flying expressions. But still I laughed my ass off through this whole thing 8D
