White Living Room Transforms with Imagery from Two Projectors

What do you get when you combine a design-less white living room with two projectors and two 3D projection gurus? The answer is a living room that can be completely transformed in the blink of an eye. It’s almost like having a living room that behaves like a digital picture frame!

    Very cool.

Yeah, awesome. But what happens when somebody walks in and sits on the couch?

Or if you just move the pillow to the other side of the couch?

Nice, but of any practical use?

There’s your perfect practical application. Real-time, real-world customer sampling and tinkering of different design solutions. Combine this with a 3D camera and taking a picture of rooms in your own home to upload in store – wicked amounts of fun, branding and customer loyalty to follow.

Absolutely good for marketing and mockups. But until it combines a way to track the movement of objects in the room and adjust for them in real time it’s useless for actual living or working space.

To be clear, the song is Free The Robots playing Jazz Hole. Very good song. Pretty cool vidieo. I think, however, that it goes without saying that FTR is a more valuable contemporary cultural commodity than is the art display of projectors on house furniture.

But they do have a camera program called predator that can do that already, it shouldn’t be too far off
