Nikon Super Telephoto Lens Doubles as a Fake Bazooka

Once your lenses get to a certain level of awesomeness, you have to start carrying them like bazookas. Can anyone identify the two lenses found in this photograph?

I wouldn’t carry it like this when there’s a nearby airport or military base ;) Chances are they have a closer look after they shoot. And they won’t shoot a photo but the dude who carries that thing. Awesome lenses!

After seeing that video of a US helicopter smoke two journalists, mistaking a telephoto lens for an RPG, I’d definitely leave this one behind when going on conflict assignments!

yup – that is the 1200-1700 … it is Manual Focus … and has like a 0.1 deg view.

it can pick a pimple off of angelina jolie’s lip at 1000 yards … lol

    1200-1700mm f/5.6 MF AF-I, 2nd lens is a Nikon AF-S I 600mm f/4 D IF-ED. Third lens is the Nikon AF-S 300mm f/2.8

I currently own a Nikon AF-S II 600mm f/4. If I win the Canadian Lotto Max lottery, I might hunt down a 1200-1700mm f/5.6 or get them to make me a custom-built 1200-1700mm with AF-S and VRII. Yeah…I got about as much chance of being hit by a comet rather than winning the lottery.
