Update: This giveaway is now over. The winner was randomly selected and announced below.

Howdy y’all! We’re giving away a Fundamentals of Digital Photography short course by the New York Institute of Photography. This course is worth $398, and includes physical learning materials, a personal student advisor, online exams, and evaluation by a professional photographer that examines the photo project mailed in.

To enter, all you need to do is:

Tell us how you’ve been learning photography so far

There are two ways to enter, and doing both methods will give you 2 entries in the contest, and thus double the chance the win!

  1. Leave your response as a comment
  2. Tweet your response, and include the following link to this post anywhere in the tweet: http://j.mp/ppnyip

As long as the link appears in the post, you’ll be automatically entered in the contest.

This contest will end Saturday, June 5th, 2010. We’ll randomly pick a winner using random.org and update this post. Good luck!

This giveaway is now over. We received 302 comment entries and 131 tweet entries for a total of 433 entries. The randomly selected winner using random.org is…

Lots of reading, trial and error, reading, and trial and error…did I mention reading?

  • Wayne

I have been trying to learn on my own, trial and error. Some books and videos.

  • AZTHROUGHMYLENS

I use many online recourses to learn from. I also get out there and experiment!

To date I have been learning photography by trial and error. It's definitely a fun way to learn, though obviously slower than via instruction. I'm sure this course would go a long way to making me a better photographer!
