Photographer Makes Louvre Pyramid ‘Disappear’ with Huge Photo Illusion

Making an iconic landmark ‘disappear’ might seem like the purview of magicians, but it’s street artist and photographer JR who gets the glory this time around. Through clever use of massive photo prints, he managed to make the iconic Louvre Pyramid ‘disappear’ into the Museum behind it.

The stunt is JR’s new show “JR au Louvre,” a fantastic optical illusion created by pasting a massive photo print onto the surface of the pyramid so that, from the correct angle, it ‘disappears’ into the facade of the Musée du Louvre.
