Recently I made my own custom-built camera rig for shooting Through-The-Viewfinder videos on a Nikon Z6 through the viewfinder of an old Lomo Lubitel 166. With my setup, I can have the whole camera in the frame but without distracting hands visible. Here's how I did it.
Inspired by the viral Paris Through Pentax video we shared not too long ago, photographer Carl Pendle recently decided to put his own twist on the Inception-esque style of 'through the viewfinder' videos and take you on a street photography jaunt through his hometown.
If this video doesn't make you want to go out and buy a Pentax 67, nothing will. Paris is beautiful enough as-is, but there's something about exploring it through the viewfinder of a classic medium format camera that will tug at your photographic heartstrings and have you nostalgic for the good ol' days.
