ZY Optics has annoucned four new ultra-fast Mitakon Speedmaster T/1.0 cinema lenses for filmmakers, covering a variety of focal lengths and lens mount compatibility encompassing Micro Four Thirds, Super 35, and Full-Frame.
ZY Optics has unleashed its latest "Speedmaster" lens. Designed for the Micro Four Thirds system, the new Mitakon Speedmaster 17mm f/0.95 III combines ultra-fast optics with a 34mm equivalent field of view and packs it inside a lens that costs just $400.
ZY Optics has just added a new member to its "Speedmaster" lineup of lenses. Meet the new Mitakon Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 lens for the Canon EF mount, hailed as the "world’s only f/0.95 lens designed for DSLR systems in production."
Brazilian photographer Charles Oliveira recently put the Mitakon Speedmaster 85mm f/1.2 lens through its paces using his Nikon D600. Announced back in 2015, this is a Chinese lens that offers 85mm f/1.2 at a relatively affordable price of $799.
Two years ago there were rumors floating around that the Meyer-Optik-Görlitz Nocturnus 50mm f/0.95 was just a very expensive rebadge of the Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 that was supposedly assembled in Germany and therefore priced higher around $2,000+.

The Chinese company ZY Optics has just announced the Zhongyi Mitakon Speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 Mark II, an improved version of the original manual focus lens.
