The film simulation software company Really Nice Images has launched a new iPhone camera app called RNI Flashback. While the app is yet another film simulation app in a market saturated with them, it aims to stand out by adding randomness to the equation.
If you enjoy injecting analog warmth into your digital photographs, then you may want to check out the new RNI Films app for iOS. Developed by Really Nice Images, the application allows mobile photographers to apply realistic film simulations to their images with a few taps. Similar to the company’s film pack for Lightroom, RNI Films comes with a collection of real negative, slide, instant, vintage, and monochrome film stocks for you to simulate.
Preset maker Really Nice Images has announced RNI All Films 3.0, a new film simulation suite that aims to rival the software offered by companies such as DXO and VSCO. RNI claims to be so realistic in its simulation of film that film photographers are fooled by resulting photos in blind tests.
It's "simulation more convincing than actual film," Really Nice Images says.
