Rumors have been swirling around in the photo industry the past couple of months about Samsung pulling out of the camera industry. Samsung hasn't announced anything new in recent times, and its camera division has reportedly been bleeding money every year since the NX system was announced in 2010.

Samsung Unveils the NX200: 20MP APS-C Sensor in a “Retro Modern” Body

Samsung has announced its new mirrorless NX200, a year after introducing the NX100. The flat and smooth body has been replaced with a more ergonomic design, which the company reportedly describes as "retro modern". Inside, you'll find a powerful 20.3 megapixel APS-C sensor, which shoots 7fps in burst mode, records 1080p30 HD video, and boasts an ISO range of 100-12800. There's no viewfinder, but on the back you'll find a large 3-inch display.

Samsung 20mm f/2 Pancake Lens Picture Leaked? Not Quite

A rumor making its rounds today is that a photograph of an upcoming Samsung NX 20mm f/2 pancake lens was leaked. The photo (shown above) looks pretty legit, and does not seem to be obviously fake or "photoshopped".

Well, in the thread on PentaxForums where the image was posted yesterday, someone pointed out that the "leaked photo" looks suspiciously like the Samsung 30mm.

Samsung is releasing a new hybrid digital camera system sometime in early January of next year called the NX Series. The idea is that the new series would combine the advantages of DSLR and point-and-shoot cameras.
