It is rare for a photo to make you laugh, but one street photographer has a distinct talent for capturing perfectly-timed humorous images that connect different elements within a frame.
The difference between the two Koreas is well-known. We understand that one country is almost entirely closed off from the rest of the world, while the other is modern and plugged in. We've even seen images from space that show how literally dark North Korea is.
And yet, it takes a compelling photo series/book like German architecture photographer Dieter Leistner's Korea--Korea to truly drive home the differences between these two pieces of the same peninsula.
Photographer Christopher Domakis has photographed both sides of the urban coin in China. Through two unrelated photo series, Hutong and Microcosm, he has managed to juxtapose the quiet closeness of the narrow Hutong alley neighborhoods of Beijing with the hustle and bustle of the rapidly growing urban developments in many of China's biggest cities.
