Intel will stop manufacturing its excellent NUC PCs, instead choosing to produce them with partners. It confirmed to Engadget that it will cease "direct investment" in the hardware.
Apple's Mac mini and Mac Studio have set new standards for the kind of power and performance that can be expected from a small chassis. While Intel's new NUC isn't quite as small, it does show that PCs can get almost as svelte and still perform outstandingly well.
Intel has announced the new NUC 13 Extreme Kit and NUC 13 Extreme Compute Element, which it says combine to make the most powerful NUC ever built thanks to its 13th-gen desktop processors and space for triple-slot, 12-inch graphics cards.
