A new rumor has popped up that claims the upcoming medium format Fujifilm GFX100S, the successor to the GFX50S, will land by the end of the month for just $5,999, pricing medium format more competitively than ever before against full-frame options from Canon, Nikon, and Sony.
Fuji fans anxious for the arrival of the long-awaited X-Pro2 might only have a few more months left to wait. New rumors suggest that the followup to the popular X-Pro1 will arrive in early 2015.
The closer we get to Photokina the more excited we're becoming. Canon will supposedly unveil the 7D Mark II (among other things), Sigma supposedly has several lenses up its sleeve, we might see the next ZEISS Otus lens, and now, we're also hearing talk of a Fuji X100S successor making an appearance with some significant upgrades.
Fuji's X-T1 already has one of the most impressive electronic viewfinders in the mirrorless world, but if recent rumors are to be believed, that that isn't good enough for the Japanese company.
We take all unconfirmed news (aka. rumors) with a grain of salt because you just never know, but according to Fuji Rumors this particular tidbit is as good as confirmed. The mysterious "High Speed Wide Angle Lens" on Fuji's lens roadmap is apparently going to be a 16mm f/1.4 -- no ifs, ands or buts about it.
As a website, we're trying to move away from sharing rumors and the like, or at the very least be much more selective.
