If you own a Hasselblad X1D II 50c, 907X Special Edition, or if you ordered the 907X 50C that was released yesterday, you now have some new tethering options. The company has released version 2 of its Phocus Mobile app, making it possible to tether your camera, wired or wirelessly, to an iPhone.
Hasselblad has just released what it's calling "the largest firmware update to any Hasselblad camera at one time," updating the mirrorless medium format X1D II 50C and the 907X Special Edition with several highly-requested features like video recording, focus bracketing, and better white balance tools.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing—which took place on July 20th, 1969—Hasselblad has announced that it will make a Special Edition matte black version of its 907x camera body and CFV II 50c digital back with a commemorative “On the Moon Since 1969” plate on the side.
