Sigma fp Officially Released, Will Cost $1,900 and Ships October 25th

Sigma officially released the Sigma fp today, confirming the leak we reported earlier this week. Available to pre-order today, the world’s smallest full-frame mirrorless camera will cost $1,900 for the body-only, and will begin shipping to customers on October 25th.

The Sigma fp was first unveiled back in July, but it was a detailed development announcement of sorts that kept both pricing and availability of the camera under wraps.

Still, the industry was very excited to see this tiny, extremely riggable full-frame mirrorless camera come to market and take on the options from Canon, Sony, Nikon and Panasonic. And at a price of just $1,900 for the body-only, this L-Mount, 24.6MP, 370g mirrorless system is very tempting indeed. Sigma is hailing it as “a camera that is casual enough to take anywhere, anytime, and high-spec enough for serious still and cine shooting in the highest image quality, all in a robust and classy body.”

The Sigma fp is available to pre-order today for $1,900, and if you happen to be attending PhotoPlus Expo 2019, you can see and try it for yourself at the Sigma Booth (#837). To lean more about the L-Mount camera, head over to the Sigma website.
