Photographs from the modest to mid-sized cities that Gannett’s publications represent don’t often appear on other photo wire services and can be expensive to purchase on a per-image basis.
The service is called Imagn, and it aims to provide 600,000 photos per year (from 10,000 sporting events by 300 sports photographers) at first before ramping up to 1.8 million per year down the road.
