Ethereal Photographs from Wonderland

Take a look at the portfolio of Washington D.C.-based photographer Cade Martin, and you’ll feel like you’re looking at movie stills from an upcoming live action Alice and Wonderland film. His beautiful, dreamlike photographs have themes of grace, beauty, repetition, and light.

On his website, Cade writes,

When you look at things differently, stories emerge. There is beauty in the everyday. And when people learn to look for it, they’ll find inspiration in the least likely places. That’s when the narrative happens. At that moment, it’s not about projects or work or deadlines. Suddenly, you discover the gift of seeing.

Many of these photographs are from a project titled “Wonderland“, which Cade shot for the Washington Ballet in Washington D.C.

The Wonderland project was done in collaboration with Design Army. Here’s a short behind-the-scenes look at how the project came together (starts at 2:33):

You can find more of Martin’s work over on his website.
