Google+ users: you can now store up to 15 gigs of photographs through the service. Well, kinda.
Instead of having separate quotas for Gmail, G+ photos, and Drive, Google is now consolidating everything under a 15GB free storage limit. If you don’t use Gmail or Drive, you’ll be able to store triple the photo data you could before.
Waterproofing is one specialization that compact cameras have had that smartphones (and their cameras) haven’t, but that’s about to change. Sony has launched a new phone called the Xperia ZR that will help smartphones further erode the point-and-shoot market by opening the door to underwater smartphone photography. Read more…
