A more complete list of specs has emerged for the rumored Canon 7D Mark II. The camera may be a miniature counterpart to the EOS-1D X, likely featuring a smaller body, less features (maybe), less weathersealing, and a lower price point than the 1D X.

We reported last week the Nikon is set to fill a gap in its lens lineup by introducing a new Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm f/4G ED VR lens — a lens that should be smaller and cheaper than its f/2.8 counterpart. Adobe has officially added lossy compression into the latest specification (1.4) for its Digital Negative (DNG) RAW file format. The new Lossy DNG, which first appeared as a feature in Lightroom 4 earlier this year, gives photographers a middle-ground between the quality of lossless DNG photos and the small file size of JPEG photos.

Official product photos of Canon’s soon-to-arrive mirrorless camera — the EOS M — leaked late last week, and now the camera’s specs are following suit. Canon Rumors reports that the camera will feature an 18MP APS-C sensor, an ISO range of 100-12800 (expandable to 25,600), a 3-inch touchscreen, phase and contrast autofocus, autofocus during video recording, 1080p HD video, and various image enhancement features (twilight mode, creative filters, HDR, multi-shot noise reduction).
The system will also launch with an EF lens adapter, a new flash unit, and two lenses: the EF-M 22mm f/2 STM and the EF-M 18-55mm IS.
We’re less than 24 hours away from the official Canon 5D Mark III unveiling, but official product photos and a detailed spec list of the camera have already been leaked onto the Internet. The photos are consistent with the pictures of the camera in the wild that leaked earlier this week.

We’re about three weeks away from the rumored February 8th unveiling of the Olympus OM-D — a new Micro Four Thirds camera designed in the style of old school Olympus OM SLRs. The mockup above shows what the camera might look like based on the latest spec rumors. The 16MP camera will reportedly offer ISO 200-25600, a grip and a leather-covered surface, built-in flash, in-body image stabilization, a 610000-dot swiveling LCD screen, and speedy autofocus

Some spec rumors for the Olympus OM-D camera that we wrote about yesterday are starting to emerge. The retro-styled, weather-sealed magnesium body will reportedly resemble classic OM series film SLR cameras, and will be available in both black and silver. Rather than have a pentaprism like an actual SLR, the 16MP camera will feature a 1.44M dot electronic viewfinder. It’ll be 121mm wide, and will weigh 425g. The release date is rumored to be sometime in late March 2012.
