
Researchers at the University of Leuven in Belgium are embarking on an interesting mission, and they need the help of willing photographers. What they’re attempting to do is create a database of photos based on how they make the viewer feel. The project and website, dubbed Pictures With Feelings, can then be used to further our knowledge about human emotion and how specific moods come about. Where you folks come is in providing the most emotionally stimulating images buried in your archives.

Back in July, we reported that Fuji was preparing to launch lower-end and higher-end siblings of its popular X-Pro1 mirrorless camera. We now both what the cheaper camera will be called, and what it’ll look like.
Named the “X-E1″, the camera had two of its product pictures leaked today through Digicame-info.

Here’s a couple images of Sony’s upcoming A77 translucent mirror camera (with a battery grip attached), which is expected to be announced in late August. It’s rumored to have a 24-megapixel sensor, HD-video recording, and a $1,000 price tag. It’s unknown whether or not it packs the crazy double translucent lens hybrid viewfinder that was talked about late last year.

Observant Micro-Four Thirds fans recently spotted a strange looking camera in a promo video on YouTube (which was quickly taken down). The camera is most likely Panasonic’s new Lumix GF3, a camera that’s expected to be officially unveiled on June 13th. Its rumored to pack the same 16 megapixel sensor as the G3, not have a hot shoe, and to have a touchscreen-based interface. The company also seems to be taking the “large sensor in a small body” thing quite seriously — this camera is tiny!

Alleged photographs of the upcoming Sony Alpha A33 and A55 DSLR cameras have popped up in an overseas forum. The images look legitimate, though the A55 and A33 front views are identical images that had the model number Photoshopped. Not sure why that is.
These two cameras are rumored to be pellicle mirror cameras. Read this post that we wrote last week to learn more about what pellicle mirrors are.
