Photographer Thomas Hudson Reeve shoots pinhole photographs in a pretty interesting way — rather than using photo-sensitive paper or film inside a separate camera, he creates the camera using photo paper itself. The resulting photograph is exposed onto the inside of the photo-sensitive camera (which he calls the “PaperCam”), and creates a pretty surreal look when opened up and developed.

Chicago-based designer Dan Riordan woke up one morning, saw his Polaroid Land Camera 95A, and thought to himself, “I can make a lamp of out that”. So he did. Now, after several months of perfecting his build process, he’s selling these hand-crafted lamps for $150 through his Etsy store. The lamps are LED powered, last 50,000 hours without needing a new bulb, and are dimmable so you can adjust the brightness to your liking.

“Alphabet Truck” is a project that took photographer Eric Tabuchi four years and thousands of miles of driving to complete. He photographed the giant logo letters found on the back of 18-wheelers, capturing one for each of the 26 letters of the alphabet. The end result is beautiful, creative, and difficult to replicate.

Instaprint is a neat wall-mounted printer that fuses old-school Polaroid-style instant photos with social media (namely Instagr.am). Basically it’s a box you rent for events that contains a modified, Internet-connected Zink printer. It uses the Instagr.am API to constantly scan for a specific location or hashtag, and when new photos are found they’re automatically printed and pushed out the bottom.

Cooper the Photography-Lovin’ Cat Featured by Animal Planet

Animal Planet recently featured Cooper the Photographer Cat, who is apparently becoming a pretty big deal. Cooper is also jumping into filmmaking in addition to his still photography, though we think they should start teaching him how to use a Steadicam to reduce some of the motion-sickness inducing camera shake.
