Hasselblad Unveils a Limited Edition Lunar, ‘Good Fortune Indulgence’ for Only $10K

Within much of the photography community, the Hasselblad Lunar and Stellar are something of a running joke -- rebranded Sony cameras that slap on exotic and/or luxurious materials and sell for thousands more than the originals.

But just in case buying a standard Sony NEX-7 Hasselblad Lunar isn't luxurious enough for you, the company is releasing a more expensive limited edition that will only find its way into 200 hands.

Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Against Photog, OKs Reprinting of “Limited Edition” Pics

If you sell a number of prints of a photograph as a "limited edition," should you be allowed to later reprint that photo in a different size, format, or medium and then sell the new pieces as a new edition? Apparently the US legal system believes the answer is "yes."

A judge has dismissed the lawsuit filed against photographer William Eggleston by art collector Jonathan Sobel, who claimed that Eggleston's decision to sell new prints of old photos hurt the value of the original "limited edition" prints.

New Leica M9 “Titanium” Limited to 500 Pieces, Looks Great in a Bank Vault

Leica's announcements at Photokina have been pretty dull so far compared to some of the other cameras that have been unveiled. Aside from announcing a Panasonic LX5 rebranded as a Leica D-LUX 5 and a Panasonic FZ100 rebranded as a Leica V-Lux 2, they've also announcement a "Titanium" version of the M9 digital rangefinder of which only 500 pieces will be made.

Limited Edition Canon F-1 Belt Buckle

We featured a Nikon belt buckle here last month, and now here's one by Canon. It's a limited edition Canon F-1 belt buckle made by Lewis Buckles in Chicago for Canon in the 1970s. Charles Eves won the one above for $3 in an eBay auction. The seller was a former Canon salesman that was awarded the belt buckle for his high sales.
