New details about Pentax’s upcoming Q10 interchangeable lens camera have emerged. The tiny camera — which likely has a tiny sensor — is the followup to the Pentax Q, the world’s smallest interchangeable lens compact. It’ll be available in a number of colors, and will feature a 12.4 megapixel CMOS sensor, an ISO range of 100-6400, 5fps continuous shooting, AF face detection, 1080p HD video recording, in-body image stabilization, manual exposure modes, and a built-in flash.

Hong Kong model Angelababy lost her contract with Panasonic after leaking a photo of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF5 on Instagram in March of this year. And now: a legal mess that could cost millions.
China News reports that Panasonic is seeking a refund of their contract, worth 9,910,014 yuan (about $1,559,181.51 USD) plus another million yuan ($157,334 USD) in damages for the leak: a serious trade secret violation that Panasonic also said would affect their marketing plans and strategies. The ad agency in charge of the Panasonic campaign, McCann Shanghai, countersued Panasonic, saying the terminated contract is unlawful and the terms of their contract were met.

Pentax is on the verge of announcing a new mirrorless camera called the K-01. It’ll be a K-mount camera with the same 16.3MP sensor as the K-5, and will come with a crazy 40mm lens that’s less than 1cm thick (it looks more like a body cap). It’ll feature a 3-inch LCD screen, HD video recording, a pop-up flash, and a design by famous industrial designer Marc Newson. The camera will reportedly be unveiled officially tomorrow at a launch event in London.

Nikon has more than just a 36-megapixel D800 up its sleeve. The company is also planning to launch a Nikon D4 DSLR to rival the Canon 1DX, and specs of the camera were leaked this past weekend by Nikon Rumors. The camera will reportedly offer 16.2MP, 11fps, ISO 102400 (expandable to 204800), support for the new XQD memory card format in addition to CF, integrated ethernet, 51 AF points, face detection/recognition, and improved video capabilities (e.g. uncompressed video output and buttons for smooth aperture control during recording). The camera may be officially announced early next year alongside the D800.
