Fly Into an Ocean of Exploding Fireworks in this Captivating Drone Video

Seeing as it's the day after July 4th, it seemed appropriate to share a different perspective on a fireworks show than most people are likely to see popping up in their News Feeds. Shot by videographer Jos Stinglingh in West Palm Beach, Florida using a DJI Phantom 2 and GoPro Hero 3 Silver edition, this captivating video puts you closer to the action than you might ever otherwise wish to get.

GoPro Cameras Get Simple, High-Quality Filters with Lee’s New ‘Bug’ Lineup

GoPros are popular little action cams. Between the company's brilliant marketing and the well-liked hardware, it’s not difficult to see why they decided to go public. But as impressive as the little cameras may be, they do have their limits. Most notably: the lack of exposure controls when it comes to capturing something.

To help combat that problem and also spice up the action cam footage being captured, Lee Filters has announced a new line-up of holders and filters for GoPro’s latest Hero models.

Crab Tries to Steal GoPro, Reinforces Our Belief that Animals Love Action Cams

We're starting to suspect that wild animals the world over are collecting action cams for some nefarious plot... well, either that or wild animals like carrying away shiny objects, but we prefer our first theory. We've seen birds, cheetahs and hyenas all make away with GoPros, and now it seems the crustaceans are getting involved too.

GoPro Teams Up with Zoologist to Show You What It’s Like to Cuddle with Lions

And Then a Cheetah Licked My GoPro…

The title of this post is what we imagine safari guide Matthew Copham says whenever he tells people about his most recent adventure.... well, that or, "and then a cheetah tried to eat my GoPro." As far as the response he gets, we expect it involves copious amount of Awwwww.

So, courtesy of the good folks at GoPro and the sheer number of spare cameras they have lying around, we give you: fire-breathing in bullet time.

The Beauty of the Ballet Captured in Time-Lapse and Slow Motion

The world of time-lapse photography is dominated mostly by landscape and city photography, with the occasionally astronomical time-lapse thrown in. And even though we've seen some spectacular examples of all three of those (just click on the links), we appreciate that the video at the top is a bit of a departure from the norm.

Shot by MIT Professor David Gifford and graduate student Adrian Dalca, the footage is a mix of time-lapse and slow motion that shows the beauty of the Boston Ballet practicing for the September show Night of Stars.

Fox Plunders a Dead Animal Carcass and Runs Off With the Camera Hidden Inside

Animals love cameras. It seems we can infer that much from videos and stories we've shared in the past. From Lions to Bears, it seems that animals are often as interesting in camera gear as they are in a free meal.

Another case in point is the video above. Shot for the Dutch TV series De Nieuwe Wildernis (The New Wilderness), the clip shows a curious fox making off with a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition that was hidden inside a dead animal carcass.
