Few countries celebrate Christmas as beautifully as Austria. Vienna in particular is known for its buildings adorned in decorations, streets illuminated by lights, and seasonal markets called ‘Christkindlmarkt.’
It’s these festive elements that inspired time-lapse production team FilmSpektakel to create a unique time-lapse of Vienna’s winter wonderland — unique because the whole thing is captured refracted through a snow globe.
There have been a number of projects in the past that asked people to capture videos and photographs all over the world during a single day. Montblanc wants to take the idea one step further: the luxury company has launched a photo project called “Worldsecond” that aims to have all its participants capture photographs across the globe at the same moment in time.
For her husband’s 40th birthday, Jen had the idea of turning an old, unwanted globe into a unique photo gift showing “his world”. She printed photographs onto white tissue paper, and then adhered the photographs to the globe using Mod Podge. Head on over to her site for a step-by-step walkthrough.
