Photographer Helping ‘Girl Power Project’ Equip the Future Leaders of Uganda

The United Nations has said that educating women is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty around the globe. Having taken that statement to heart, The Girl Power Project — a collaboration between by The Collective Heart and Unstoppable Foundation — is committed to empowering the girls of Uganda and putting a stop to generations of poverty, disease, abuse and illiteracy.

Stop Motion Music Video Featuring 500+ Girls Holding iPads

Orrin Hastings spent three months creating this stop-motion music video for the song “This Man’s Brighter Days” by abe&tell. He roamed the streets of Sydney asking 500+ girls to hold up an iPad containing one still frame extracted from a video. Played back, the stop motion contains a video-within-a-video. The concept is very similar to the J.Views video we shared a couple months back, except that one used actual prints.

Teen Collects 50,000 Signatures to Protest the Use of Photoshop by Magazines

The Pink & Blue Project by South Korean photographer JeongMee Yoon started seven years ago after she photographed a portrait of her 5-year-old daughter sitting next to her beloved pink possessions. She then began creating portraits of other girls who loved pink things, and then other boys who loved blue.
