Berene Campbell of Happy Sew Lucky has a nifty cut-and-sew fabric design that lets you make a camera bag that looks like a Diana camera of the sixties:
This retro design is inspired by the Diana camera sold in the 60′s – now a funky collector’s item. (They sell replicas these days, for those into lomography.) The bag holds a camera up to 5″ W x 3.25″ H x 2″ D. It includes a strap. Of course it could just be a funky purse for your lipstick, loot and lollies too. One fat quarter of Upholstery weight Twill makes one camera bag.
You can purchase the fabric from Spoonflower, and follow a tutorial Campbell wrote over on her blog.

These Diana cameras were decorated and auctioned for Lomography’s Diana World Tour this year. If you regularly photograph young children, giving your camera a colorful costume can help make it a lot less intimidating (Camera Creatures work well too).

Lomography just announced this new Diana Deluxe Kit, which allows you to buy a complete collection of Diana toy camera goodies for a discounted price. Like many of the things we feature here on this blog, we think this looks a little too nice to use. You should just keep it framed and hang it up on your wall!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner (February 14th, to be exact), and if the special person in your life is a photography-lover, you might want to think about ditching the cards, flowers, and chocolates, and going with something a little more… lomo. Lomography has released two special edition Diana cameras for this special occasion. The “Love is in the Air” Diana Mini costs $119 and the “Take My Heart” Diana F+ costs $99.
