Photobooth Marriage Proposal Captured on Video

We’ve shared photos of photobooth marriage proposals before, but how about a video? After Nick recently proposed to his girlfriend Louise in a photobooth, Louise’s father contacted the owner of the booth — a friend — to have the video retrieved(booths apparently keep video logs to track vandalism). The owner then published the video on YouTube and contacted the newly-engaged couple.

A Game of Hide and Seek Through The Eyes of a Toddler

Photographers and cinematographers are infamous (or maybe just famous) for using their children to create sometimes moving, sometimes cute, but always creative photo and video projects. Take, for example, Dutch photographer Frans Hofmeester’s time lapse of his daughter from birth to age 12.

Filmmaker Daniel Brace, however, took a different approach: he strapped a GoPro to a helmet on his 2-year-old daughter’s head and proceeded to play a lively game of hide-and-seek. The video really requires no more introduction than that, except maybe to say that if this doesn’t make your heart melt, we don’t know what will.

Portraits of Animal Shelter Cats Taken to Promote Adoption

Portraits of Animal Shelter Cats Taken to Promote Adoption

Just like in real estate, for which good photos of homes can make a huge difference in attracting potential buyers, animal shelters often see spikes in adoptions when the animals are advertised with attractive photographs. For this reason, Arizona-based photographer Michael Kloth visits shelters on a weekly basis to offer his services to local adoption agencies. He writes,

I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. As I move through life I’ve come to realize that it is not enough for me to enjoy their company, but rather that I feel compelled to share my time and experience being an advocate for the homeless ones. I see that while people love their cats and dogs, they continue to make decisions that combine to condemn millions of them to death every year and I want to be a voice for change.

Each week I photograph adoptable animals at our local adoption agencies. My experience has been that quality photography is the first step in marketing these furry works of art to potential adopters. It is my hope that I can use these local animals as a voice for the millions of homeless animals nation and worldwide.

Fashion Photos with Dogs Peering Over Shoulders

Fashion Photos with Dogs Peering Over Shoulders dog1 mini

“Doggie Style” is a cute series of fashion photos shot by photographer Emily Shur for Paper Magazine. They’re pretty different from ordinary fashion photos: Shur had her human models face backwards while holding dogs facing forwards. She writes,

This shoot was presented to me with this image of my husband and The Baroness as the impetus and inspiration. A lot of these dogs belong to friends. Some I found via friends. All in all it was such a funny day and shoot. I loved it… even when one dog, who will remain unnamed, peed on my softbox.
