Doggy Photo Booth Helps Shelter Get Dogs Adopted

Photographer Guinnevere Shuster of the Humane Society of Utah came up with a fantastic idea for helping dogs get adopted: the doggy photo booth. Her photos of the dogs do a much better job at capturing their personalities than standard snapshots, and the results have been impressive: 93.26% of the dogs are now finding new homes.

I was photographing families and toddlers in 2010 and 2011 and my work was a bit uninspiring. Then I saw American photographers creating these beautiful, arty, creative sleeping newborn photos and I wanted to do it too!

It wasn’t easy. No one in the UK really saw my vision, but I managed to get a sweet family with a beautiful newborn called Daisy to help me launch this style of photography to my business. That was back in 2012 – and I haven’t looked back since.

Idea: Make an Annual Video of Your Family Reviewing a Photo Book of the Past Year

Here’s a nice idea for an annual family tradition (especially if you’re a parent with young kids): take your family photos from the past year, create a year-in-review photo book, and then record some video of your family looking at the book and talking about it.

That’s what photographer Tim Kyle started doing this year with his two young daughters. The video above shows the three of them looking over their 2014 family photos “with expert commentary.”

This Guy Used a Photobooth to Capture Photos and a Video of His Proposal

A pair of high school sweethearts named Kevin and Molly got engaged this past week after being together for 7 years. To document his proposal, rather than hire a photographer or task a friend with hiding in the bushes, Kevin chose to take his unsuspecting girlfriend into a photo booth that captures both photos and video.
