Humor: CollegeHumor Takes on the Anti-Photoshop Movement in Hilarious Fashion

The anti-Photoshop movement is serious business. Videos that demonstrate what the liquify tool and an overzealous retoucher can do deliver an important message about unrealistic expectations and the need for transparency when significant Photoshopping is involved.

Of course, that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little bit of fun with the subject, which is exactly why CollegeHumor put together the spoof above. The video shows by far the most drastic Photoshop transformation we’ve ever seen and nails all of the anti-Photoshop video clichés in the process. We won’t give anything more away, but we have a feeling this one will give you a good chuckle.

Parody: Using Photoshop’s New Chinese Food Tool for Restaurant Menus

If you’ve spent any amount of time in mom and pop Chinese restaurants — especially around college campuses — then you’re probably seen the strangely colored and faded food photographs used in the menus and displayed on the walls. These photographs look anything but appetizing, yet you can find them everywhere there’s cheap Chinese food.

For those of you who understand exactly what we’re referring to, CollegeHumor created this humorous parody Photoshop tutorial that discusses an imaginary new “Chinese Food Tool” — a suite of tools that’s designed to easily turn any nice-looking photo of Chinese food into one that will fit right in at a small Chinese restaurant. The tagline: “Now you can display MSG in CMYK.”

How UPS Deliveries Actually Work

The stories are often the same — you spend some time saving up money for the perfect piece of gear that you’ve spent hours reading reviews about and comparing. You finally order it, and spend some days checking the tracking information every few minutes to see if your package is still traveling according to schedule. Finally, the big day arrives, and you eagerly stay fixed at home, unwilling to step out for a minute or take a shower lest the UPS delivery person arrives. After something forces you to step out of the house briefly, you arrive home and are crushed to discover a “failed delivery” slip affixed to your door.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look into why this always seems to happen.

Hipster Spiderman Quite Serious About Photography

It’s funny how humor poking fun at hipsters seems to always include some reference to cameras and photography (see our hipster dinosaur post). College Humor has posted a pretty funny series of illustrations imagining what comics would be like if superheroes were hipsters. This photography-loving Spiderman is our fav.
