It’s a four minute stroll through the school grounds at the National Miaoli Senior High School, with students doing all kinds of things that look awesome when reversed.

Messe Kopp sent us this awesome and mind-bending video he shot on the streets of Downtown Jerusalem. It it’s a backward-is-forward video that shows a man getting up from bed and taking a stroll down a city street, interacting with various people and objects along the way. The entire 2.5-minute video was shot in a single take.

Here’s a dash of creativity to get your brain juices going today: Melbourne, Australia-based aspiring filmmaker Julian Tay recorded footage of the fireworks display his city put on a couple of nights ago, and then decided to experiment with the video. He writes,
Was curious to see what fireworks would look like if I played it backwards. Turns out, it looks pretty awesome. Playing it in reverse gives it that cool slow-mo feel which is strangely soothing and tranquil. Totally opposite of the true nature of fireworks.
We agree, Julian — that does look pretty awesome!

SYNC is a creative short film that tells a love story with a “backward world” twist. It was filmed an original iPhone 4 (not the 4S), a Steadicam Smoothee, and a crew of 4 people.
Do you like movies that make you think and make more sense the second time around? If so, “Tick Tock” is a short film that you’ll probably enjoy. This 4 minute film was shot in one take with a Canon 5D Mark II and 24-70mm lens, and required a whopping 36 takes to get right. If this doesn’t inspire you to do something awesome with your DSLR, we don’t know what will.

The music video for “My Favorite Pillow” by Rhett & Link has the same kind of awesomeness and creativity that made OK Go the kings of viral music videos. Released less than a week ago, the video already has millions of views. It’s a backwards music video in which everything is playing in reverse, but the singers still manage to mouth the words correctly. There’s also 600 pillows used in the video, which obviously creates instant awesomeness in itself.
