Google Photos Can Now Curate Albums with Just Your Best Shots

After a trip or event, sifting through all the photos you’ve taken and selecting just the best ones can be a daunting task. To make the process a bit easier, Google Photos today announced a feature that can put together albums for you.

It’s “smarter photo albums, without the work,” Google says. Starting today, Google Photos will begin suggesting new albums for you.

There are additional features that help add more context to the collection of memories as well, including maps that show where you’ve been and how far you’ve traveled.

If you want to add details yourself to fill in even more things to look back on, you can add text captions, maps, and location pins to the albums. To expand them further, you can open them up to family and friends to let them collaboratively add their own photos to the mix.

The new Google Photos album feature is being rolled out today across all platforms: iOS, Android, and the Web.
