This Time-Lapse Captures a Wet Microburst Dumping Water Onto Tucson, Arizona

On August 8th, 2015, Tucson, Arizona-based photographer Bryan Snider took his camera out and shot time-lapse photos of the Arizona landscape while a powerful thunderstorm rolled through his area. He ended up capturing some stunning shots of wet microbursts pouring water onto his city.

“Notice how the ball of rain falls from the sky and starts separating before hitting the ground,” Snider writes. “Once it hits the ground you can see the power of microburst as it expands similar to the ripple you would see when you drop a stone in water.”
